About Me

Hello everyone! My name is Jamie. Just thought I’d share a little about why I started this website…

I have loved spicy foods for as long as I remember. I’m pretty sure I get it from my Dad. I can still picture the sweat pouring down his forehead, on many occasions, as he ate some crazy spicy foods when I was a kid. I would always be right there beside him trying what ever he was eating with napkin in hand as my nose began to run from the heat. My Mom thought we were crazy! Maybe we were, and maybe I still am, but I just love it!

For most of my life my “go to” hot sauce has been Tabasco. As I have gotten older I find that I really only prefer it on a few staples now. So, for the past 15-20 years or so,  I have really branched out and I am way into trying as many hot sauces as possible. My main goal is really to find the perfect sauce for each food that I eat. Not necessarily the hottest, but the best flavor with a kick for whatever I am cooking up that day.

So, with that said, I thought I might as well share what I try with you all. Also I really hope to get some feed back to help me and others with some ideas on what to try. Hopefully my love for hot sauce will shine through to everyone and introduce you to some tasty options for your next meal!

Looking forward to Spicing things up,That's me

  1. I was wondering if you grow any peppers yourself? Or do you only use bottled sauces or mixes you purchase? Have you considered growing peppers, if you haven’t?

    1. I usually try to grow some peppers along with my other garden goodies. This year, sadly, we didn’t get going on our garden soon enough. So, I am not currently growing any peppers. Last year I tried to grow ghost peppers and it never produced anything. It was a disappointment, but I don’t really have a very green thumb. I have had pretty good success with jalapenos and habaneros in the past, but for the most part I just buy peppers when I need them.

I have been really wanting to get more into making my own hot sauces. I have tried a couple times recently, and I plan to keep trying till I figure out how to make exactly what I am looking for. I do make my own pico de gallo salsa frequently, and that is delicious!

Thanks for your comment. I hope I answered your questions. If you have anymore just let me know.
